Spurs Look to Cash in on Wenger’s Prodigies. Not on your Nelly!

By 1970’s Gooner

The People published a story that Diaby, Denilson and Traore are wanted by Spurs. And of course, not to be outdone, the other newspapers picked it up and started regurgitating the same story over and over again.

A sign that we are due to enter the “silly” period that is called a “transfer window”

There are football, financial and rivalry reasons why Diaby, Denilson and Traore will not be transferred to Spurs.

All three players have been handpicked and groomed by Wenger to provide top quality cover for their respective positions.

But more importantly to be ready in the next few seasons to take up the mantle if needed from their first team counterparts.

Diaby in particular has since his return from injury been very impressive especially on the few occasions he has been allowed to play in his natural position in the centre of midfield.

He has been likened to Vieira and in my opinion not without reason. His potential to grow into a great footballer is phenomenal.

So not only has he a great future at Arsenal but also to sell him on now especially when his transfer price will sky rocket in the future does not even make financial sense.

The more likely candidate to be sold on is in fact Gilberto. His transfer will create the space for players like Diaby, Denilson and Diarra to blossom even further.

Also the transfer price and savings in wages makes even more financial sense.

Judging by Wenger’s transfer behaviour so far do not be surprised to waive good buy to Gilberto! But most probably not to Spurs!

Denilson to my mind can be characterised as a prodigy who at only 19 is beginning to show that he can hold his own in that Fabregas role.

Surely he is being groomed to offer cover for Fabregas and also to play along side him if need be. Again why sell him now? It does not make much sense.

Traore is still learning his trade but we have seen how he resembles and plays like Clichy and even Ashley Cole before him. Wenger is obviously grooming him to be the next in line after Clichy.

But the problem of course is that he is still a little bit too young at 18. Wenger will make do at the moment with what he has and provide cover for Clichy from other sources such as Flamini or Diarra.

So again it does not make much sense to sell him on.

And what does not make much sense does not happen.

Especially if Spurs are involved!

Spurs can go a try and create their own academy but I doubt if they or anyone else, like Abramovic, will ever get near what Wenger has achieved in the youth development programme for Arsenal.

erm didn't denilson just signed a new long term contract. i doubt very much that a sign he is leaving.but i am proud of the fact that so many of our backup(for the time being) are so prized by teams which were supposed to be challenging us

"ARSEnal academy"!

You idiots are deluded. What academy? what grooming? An academy is when you take in kids and coach them through to adulthood.
Peodo bought denilson when he was 18, he's now 19, traore when he was 16 now he's 18.

You don't have an academy, you buy players who are groomed by other teams just before they come of age and try to claim all the plaudits that Peodo is something he ain't!

Fabregas was created by Barcalona, the list goes on.

And last point is, you shouldn't forget that you are a selling club! History shows this is fact that you rarely hold on to your decent players. So don't be offended that Spurs are trying to raid ya.

The ARSE is just a stepping stone for young players to get experience, when they are ready they leave and go to big clubs.
It is quite good to watch.

Who was the last player that actually came through the ranks that your peodophile manager has produced?

I didn't think any of you dickheads would answere the question.

Little red devil you are one vile, sad, bitter, hypocritical, ignorant little shitbag. Makes you feel big calling our manager names, does it? You don't deserve a response you cunt but here is one anyway. Our under-18 Academy squad has 21 English lads and 9 foreign. The starting XI usually includes 8 English players. They are flying at the top of their league and regarded as one of the best academy sides in the country, as are our u-16s and u-14s. We provide more players to the English national teams in these age groups than any other club in the country. This is the fruit of ten years of planning since the academy system was introduced. In the meantime Wenger has indeed invested in young foreign talent to bridge the gap in quality until our academy produces results, which it is now beginning to do. This might explain why our youngsters beat a full strength Newcastle in the Carling Cup while yours lost to Coventry at "fortress" Old Trafford. Of course you did develop Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Carrick, Tevez, Evra, Hargreaves and Saha didn't you? Or were they groomed by other teams? Regarding us being a selling club, if you're talking about Henry, Vieira, Pires, Campbell and Kanu I think you'll find they all spent their best years here and then we let them go. Bergkamp retired after eleven seasons. We got Gallas for Cole. A selling club indeed. You are a prize twat. We are top of the league and you can't stand it, can you, you sad, sad fuck. Now crawl back in the stinking little hole you climbed out of.

So what your saying is you can't actually think of any, but there should be some coming, soon, hopefully.

I fail to see how the Manure fan can support what he says. Fergie since the Beckham era has failed to produce any kids of note.
And dont tell me that O'shea and Wes Brown are really quality players!!! He just buys his "stars" now not make them like we do.

If you must have a name then Justin Hoyte and before him Ashley Cole. Hoyte played a lot last season but has struggled to get in the team so far this term. Cole was a success but got greedy and was seduced by Roman's billions. More fool him cos he's half the player he was with us.
Now tell us which fantastic young players has Fergie nurtured in the last few years. O'Shea? Fletcher? Bardsley? Not exactly a golden production line there. Fergie also buys youngsters, mainly foreign and a little older and more experienced- and massively more expensive- than the ones Wenger snaps up. All clubs are doing it, look at Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Man City. To suggest otherwise is pure hypocrisy. Your anger just boils down to the fact that you can't stand seeing Arsenal above ManU and hearing all the praise we're getting for our football and the youth of our team. Get over it. At least we're still English owned. Watch out for names like Mark Randall, Kieran Gibbs, Henri Lansbury, Rhys Murphy, Gavin Hoyte, Jay Thomas, Thomas Cruise, Jack Wilshere, Sanchez Watt, Craig Eastmond, Emmanuel Frimpong, Sam Byles and Benik Ofobe. All English, all nurtured at Arsenal. All technically excellent players. Five years from now your comments will look ridiculous.

I think I make my point. The truth is none of you can actually answere because there aren't any.
Your manager doesn't "make them" he buys them like everyone else.

So we move on to the 'go fuck my mother' scenario. Well in truth i do have that as a choice as I know who mine is; Unlike you inbreds who can only take a wild guess about who your's might be.

It's been fun you ARSEholes, fuck you and your mothers if you can find them and goodnight!

I'd take £7M for Diaby. Especially since Diarra and Denilson are obviously so much better.
