Arshavin reveals which Arsenal player is fastest at Bluetooth racing!

By Aries

Arshavin has been speaking on his personal web site about the victory at Wigan. He considers that the forced exit of Mido and the deployment of Arsenal’s big guns, Adebayor and Van Persie, were important in deciding the outcome of the game.

“Mido caused a lot of problems for us.

They supplied him with long balls and their assault ended with a goal from a corner. It was well deserved.

We could've been 3-0 before the break.

We had some serious problems but after Mido was substituted we leveled the score immediately”.

Andrey again showed how prepared the Arsenal players are prior to games with regard to the tactics the opponents are likely adopt.

“Wigan did not allow us to play from the start, closing us down on every inch of the pitch, sometimes playing quicker than us. I thought that they were quite strong physically.

However our manager and ourselves knew that they will inevitably tire and that we will be able to capitalise then”

“With the scores level, Arsene brought in our leaders: Adebayor and Van Persie. After getting to 2-1 we started finding free space, which is great for a team like ours. We are a better team, we have more technical ability and we took our chances” he said.

The in flight entertainment for the team’s flight back to London included a competition between the Arsenal players.

Andrey revealed that he enjoyed watching his team mates compete with each other to find out who is the fastest using their bluetooth mobile phones!

And guess who is the fastest.

“We took a (plane) flight. I was watching the guys play races on Bluetooth. Walcott beat Cesc, Bendtner, Nasri and others”

But is this allowed on planes?

This blog used to be one of the best. Sharpen it up mate. The headline should be something along the lines of what Arshavin said about the Wigan game, we don't really care about the texting.

Get back to football analysis.

they were probably racing on their iphones... you can play racing games over bluetooth. Anyway, enjoy your blog, you often have comments that others don't, keep up the good work!

Never mind all that- have you noticed the way we are consitently near the last in the runningorder on MOTD and those Liverpool a**e licking commentators cant say a good word about us. Meanwhile Gary Nevilles dive of the season (http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2690061/gary_neville_dive/) didnt even make the cut.

I don't know exactly what a "Bluetooth" is, in my native taiga we have regular monthly mail delivery though. They bring some letters, telegrams, couple of newspapers, things like that. My guess is, Walcott is more up to date than I am, since he uses some tricky devices. The problem is, he probably spends too much time with those toys (instead of practicing soccer) and that's why he sucks on the pitch.
As far as comments about Mido are concerned, I must agree. There's always lack of marking our main threats (likes of Drogba, Torres and such.) Wenger's theory of "Total Football" doesn't have an answer to that, or so it seems. Keep up the good work, 1970's.

Another great piece you can't get anywhere else. Nice to read Arshavin's thoughts on the game, and the Bluetooth bit was a nice bonus.

You can read match reviews just about anywhere, but this stuff gets inside the players heads and it's nice to get an idea what they think about their performances.

I agree. Keep up the good work. Ignore the naysayers. Great blog!!

Don't pay attention to the negative comments. You do write about Arshavin a lot but I see that as a good thing considering he is a player in our squad and we don't get the information anywhere else. It's different to most blogs at least.
