Donetsk’s president ready to negotiate Jadson’s transfer to Arsenal

By 1970’s Gooner

It is a fact that Arsenal have contacted Jadson’s club Shakhtar Donetsk in order to acquire the player’s services. However Brazilian newspaper Globesporte.com reports that Arsenal’s interest had initially been flatly refused by the Ukrainian club.

This didn’t stop the player’s agent, Marcelo Robalinho, from traveling to London and holding talks with Arsenal. He has now returned to the Ukraine on a mission to convince the club’s hierarchy to let Jadson go.

The club believe that Jadson will be pivotal in their pursuit of local titles but more importantly in the Champions League, where his value could soar if he continues to improve at the same rate as he has recently.

However speaking to the Ukrainian press today, Shakhtar’s Director Sergey Palkyn, said that he had not received Arsenal’s offer and that the most important factor to consider was the player’s wishes.

"There are no proposals for Jadson and I have not heard anything about the fact that representatives of Arsenal came to Donetsk to negotiate a transfer of our football player"

- Are we ready to let him go? I do not see any problem if we and the football player will be satisfied with the proposal. The main thing is the desire of the player. If it is present, then we are ready to negotiate with any club. "

Jadson himself is keen to come to Arsenal. He said on his tweeter page that fans could expect news on the transfer by the beginning of next week.

What I want to know is why have Arsenal waited for so long to begin negotiations for a transfer when it was so obvious that Cesc was leaving some time ago.

Elano and Robinho did pretty fricking well, Elano was dicked around by City and Robinho was a lazy bitch but when he was 'on it' he was more than able to hold his own in the Premiership.

Well done, Mr. Wenger, let's just ignore your favorite statistics and bring more coloreds to the club, which in itself brings our chances of winning CL to naught (no team has won CL with more than two coloreds in the final). People, who are historically raised under a whip, will not produce results under pressure, no sir.

Wenger shows no sign he will give up his kid policy. He has paid a big amount for Chamberlain,an unknown and untested at the higher level of soccer. Is there any gaurantee he is the finihed product the gunners are seeking? What happens if he is dumped?
It's obvious the cd flaw at the heart of the defence is given a lower priority.Well let's hope he can procuce his magic othrewise I believe 99.9% he is doomed to be axed.

But Wenger is quoted by ESPN to have said that Arsenal are nowhere near signing him and that Arsenal are not talking to Shaktar about the player, so talking about a player whose club Arsenal has not even contacted is a wastage of time. Arsenal transfer news is now totally confusing. I think the best thing should be talking about the players who are at the club already, how they are likely to fare and things like that, other than wasting time on players coming in. Wenger seems to rubbishing almost every report of players Arsenal are thought to want to sign!

Whether Wenger intends to not reveal anything before the deal is done or not remains a mystery, but has a stated that Arsenal are nowhere near signing Jadson and that they are not talking to Shaktar about the player. This has thrown a lot of confusion about Arsenal transfer news, and I think, it would be better if we we only talked about the players already at the club, how they would fare in an Arsenal shirt, and not waste time on players that are not ours yet!

I've read on ESPN that Wenger ruled out signing Mata, while a while ago he was quoted by KICKER MAGAZINE saying that Arsenal has 4 center-backs and there was no need to add another. So what's all the fuss about? It's high time we stopped stressing and mourning about new players, and, given that the transfer deadline is barely three weeks away, wait to see what Wenger will do and if nothing, then make the judgement. Good day, fellow Gooners.
