What do you expect with Benayoun and Arshavin in the side Mr Wenger?

By 1970’s Gooner

I call it as I see it. And I blame Arsene Wenger.

Let’s start with Benayoun. He is a championship player. I said it before and I am saying it again. He is not Premiership standard. He cannot keep the ball, tackle or pass forward. He is useless. Why oh why did Wenger start with him only God and he knows.

If Arteta was not fit to start then obviously Rosicky should have started. As soon as he came on we started passing the ball forward, having possession and looking dangerous. As soon as I saw Benayoun’s name in the starting line up I knew we were in trouble.

Benayoun’s positioning also confused Song who didn’t know whether to stay back or help forward as well as he normally does. But you see normally Arteta would be covering for him. Didn’t Mr Wenger instruct someone to stay back a bit?

And I sensed we were really in trouble when Arshavin was starting the game. Granted he made the killing pass for our opener but ***k, what else did he contribute? I blame Wenger really for picking him.

I would go as far as to say that if Chamberlain had started in his place we would have won the game. The ox looked hungry and dangerous when he came on and he should be starting games.

Our third weakness for which I don’t blame Wenger was Miquel. He was the weakest link in defence and Swansea exploited it. However, picking an uninterested Arshavin on the same side as Miquel was a suicide act that only Wenger can perform.

We ended up being outplayed, out possessed and run rugged.

Disgraceful.

I call it as I see it. And I blame Arsene Wenger.

How Ironic you idiots are.....I see all the posts on Emmanuel Frimpong drawing with Spurs yesterday(???) after his bloody average performance against us which resulted in him nearly getting sent off and then being subbed with 20 minutes to go by the way.

Next day you guys LOSE to Swansea with Steven Caulker our 19 year old centre back clearing off the line.

Mugs you should of kept ya mouths shut and concentrated on ya selfs, but now we are talking about it I think its double figures the gap separating us....

Good luck qualifying for the europa league

I hope we don't even qualify for the Europa Cup. I just want to see Wenger fall on his French backside and fail miserably. I want to hear him explain why he failed to buy the players we needed and instead brought in players like Benayoun and Mertesacker and why yet again he is refusing to do anything in January. We used to fight to keep him because we knew he would leave and take players like Vieira and Henry with him but now he can take his sack of shit squad with him. We are nothing more than a one man team anyway..

I agree with the opening post the starting line up was a joke but there are so many injuries at the moment to top players it does make it difficult, but time for the Ox to start some games, the other thing was the Home Ref again, Penalty for the CHEAT that dived, as they said and PROVED at half time should have been a free kick to Arsenal.
Lucky Swansea but let then enjoy it as they won't get much more.

I was actually shocked by how well Swansea played. Think most of Arsenal team were too. Result was more than fair.

Yes they looked quite good but i think a lot of that was because Arsenal were so bad, i mean the winning goal was a joke.

our weakest link was none other than Ramsey as always...

Yes i thought he had a poor game, Come back Wilshire IF it is not too late.

Typical tottering totties fan, hasn't got a clue,if you get Half the injuries to key players as Arsenal you will be fighting relegation, but then i forgot you haven't got any key players as high standard as Arsenal have.

More than Arshawin, it was Ramsey. For both goals he was at fault. He is overrated player. His awareness about players around him is very very poor.he simply runs here & there to show he is doing something. But Hey, why blame players when manager & board is happy with where we are.Time we supporters take some action..Reduce fee to mid table club or buy players as top 3 clubs do. You can't have fee of a top top clud but then act like mid table club in the market. Wenger has gone mad now & he does not even care his own reputation.Only after money

go on son, before you nod off (school tomorrow), how is your team any better then spurs? Seriously, VP is the only player who would get in the spurs team and he's clearly going to nip off in the summer - Arsenal are falling apart.

Bed time!!

I hear Rednappe (if still around) is after Crouch again as Adebayor can't score so you know you have him and Gallas the Arsenal rejects.

Anonymous said...

Bet they dont see it that way, bet they laugh in the dressing room together about jumping ship at the right time. Gallas over mertacanttakle.

Face it there is nothing you can say

Anonymous said...

You only got Adebayor on loan as you haven't the money to buy him and Gallas he is on the treatment table most of the time or sulking of course. Arsenal will still be above your lot at the end of the season, 16 years in the EC and totties ONE,no wonder you all wet your knickers for 1 year only when you qualified, and of course Arsenal are still in it.

There are some clowns commenting on this blog. What player could shine against a class 5 man midfield helped by a poor Song, Arshavin, Benayoun and Walcott? Ramsey is a brilliant link player and will become world class. But he cannot cover for muppets nor cope with refs trying to stop Arsenal from winning.
