Hot hot news out of Greece re Manolas and Arsenal

By 1970s Gooner

News just out of Athens media are reporting that Arsenal have failed to land Kostas Manolas.

Instead it is Roma that he has signed for today. It appears that they have paid 15m euros which is about 3m more than what stingy Arsenal and Wenger were prepared to dish out.

I now doubt if we are going to buy any more players.

Stingy Wenger-you don't have a clue what we offered, if we indeed make an offer. Stop sounding like a child that can't get his ice cream

Wenger is still looking for bargains and potential. That is the difference between a winner like Pelligrini and Wenger. The former knows the present is more important than potential which could not be guaranteed into the final product,
I believe Wenger has been given too much time to turn things round and has failed. At any other club he would have been axed years ago.

All media speculation no hard facts Wenger will never over pay for a player if he feels the price is to much then I am happy to go along with that nothing worse then overpaying for a mediocre player

Wenger is the no 1 enemy of AFC. The season is just two wks old and we are faced with number of injuries and he is not taking any steps but pretending, When we all know he is not going to buy any player again.

'That is the difference between a winner like Pelligrini and Wenger'
what a stupid comment, last season was the first time Pelligrini won any major trophy since he's been in Europe, he spent 9 years in spain where he managed the most expensively assembled squad in la liga history in Real Madrid and still won nothing. Any decent Manager should win trophies with the squad and resources of Man city, Wenger would win everything in sight with that kind of money. Try winning titles when you can't compete financially against your rivals, Wenger did that 3 times. Pelligrini spent 9 years in spain and won nothing
