Adriano to attend specialist centre in Brazil before coming to Arsenal!

By 1970’s Gooner

Italian press is reporting that Adriano of Inter Milan is to travel to his home country Brazil and attend a specialist “psychophysique center” in order to help him recover his football form.

It is well known that his form for the last two seasons has dipped to very low levels. He has during this time put on a lot of weight and there have been rumors concerning his drinking habits. As a result he has not been able to hold down a first team place.

Just how Arsene Wenger was reported to have been interested in a player with so many problems is beyond me. Obviously another prank.

However the Italian press is reporting that the intention is for Inter Milan to loan the player out to either Arsenal or Manchester City in January when he is expected to have finished his therapy in Brazil.

Dream on I say.

So they want a waster off of their wage bill, can't see us picking it up.

We play fast, one touch technical football and the lumbering Adriano will be little better than another Brazillian who came with a big reputation last year. He is on obscene wages and his only notable achievement is being the on the cover of Pro Evo 6.

On the other hand, if Arsene signs him, he wouldnt be the first one who has had problems. Arsene signed Kanu, Henry, Pires and Overmars who had their fair share of troubles before Arsenal. Adriano is only 25 and has more experience than our other strikers.

No way will Wenger sign him on. He is over 21, is on obscene wages and he is not in the right state of mind.

Sounds that he is a prime candidate for Allardyce as he used to go for this type of signings when he was at Bolton!

,,,,,Sure Arsene Wenger was offered Adriano in the summer and Inter wanted Rosicky in exchange or something like that. He was a great player a couple of years ago when he was fit and sharp with a fantastic left footed strike on him. I cant see us signing him as Wenger has faith in our 4 strikers, and dont forget Vela coming back and Theo can play upfront as well. Unless Wenger's selling sum1? I dont think Wenger will sell any of his players. There is no chance that of Adriano coming to Arsenal
