Eduardo on why he never came off the bench against Newcastle
By Aries
All Arsenal fans were glad to see that Eduardo had once again overcome his niggling injuries, the latest a groin problem sustained during his brief appearance during the Champions league encounter against Roma.
He was in fact included in the squad to travel for the away game at Newcastle and even made it on the bench but he never got the nod to make his come back.
He has since gone away for international duty with his adopted country, Croatia, but has declared himself fit and ready to play.
“Everything is OK with the foot. I feel great and I am ready” he said to Croatian journalists.
“The reason I did not come on to play (against Newcastle) was tactical. Arsene Wenger decided he did not need me” he explained.
It appears that Wenger did not want to risk starting with Eduardo and with the way the game progressed in the second half there was no need to introduce another striker as Arsenal were not chasing the game.
Eduardo is however in Bilic’s plans to start both of Croatia’s qualifying games. The first one is against Andorra followed by the more difficult Ukraine.
“We now need to prepare for Andorra. It will not be an easy game. I am glad to be back among my team-mates. I hope that I will play” Eduardo said.
All us gooners wish that he comes out unscathed in the end.

Are you on crack or what?
yes... yes i am.
Andorra aren't that much more easier to play lol. England score 2 past them and then scored 4 past Croatia! But I get what you mean
I hope Eduardo gets good game time in both game times. 60 odd minutes against Andorra and Ukraine and coming back unscathed should be good!
With the international games coming up I thought it would be good to focus on the arsenal players on loan. would be good to hear from you as to who you think will and will not make it at arsenal in future.
take it easy pal!
