An open letter to Gallas: Shut the hell up or get out.

Dear William,

We all read your comments on your personal web site (with the help of translators). And to be truthful there is a lot of merit in what you are saying.

We are all concerned about the future of Arsenal Football Club and especially that of Wenger who has said he will not at the moment commit himself to the club beyond the end of his current contract.

We are all concerned that other clubs are sniffing around to poach some of our best players, like Fabregas, especially now they have sensed that we are vulnerable after our talisman and greatest player moved on.

We are all also concerned with the relative lack of activity in the transfer market especially when our rivals are breaking the bank to recruit the best players around.

Liverpool splashed out a total of 40m so far, Manchester United close to 50m and counting and Chelsea are now opening their vast purse with a bid for Malouda for 14m and still counting. And Wenger still persists with recruiting young and unknown players no one has ever heard off. Total outlay so far a miserly 10m! Hell even Spurs have spent more than Arsenal!

We are all concerned that the team, although showing great promise, is still littered with relatively inexperienced young players who exhibit all those annoying characteristics of being brilliant one game and distinctly lacking the next.

We do of course understand that at this stage of your career you would want to play in a team challenging for the top both domestically and in the European competitions. And you may feel that this Arsenal team may not get there in time for you. I disagree with you but what matters is what you think.

And you are right to want to meet with Wenger next Wednesday to discuss his plans for the future and how we are going to challenge for the top and not for third place again. We would all want to do that. You can of course.

What we don’t understand is why you would want to go public with such hurtful comments which serve no purpose but to destabilise even further the players and Arsenal Football Club.

What we don’t understand is why the hell couldn’t you wait to meet with Wenger first before spouting your mouth out.

And then if you find you are not satisfied ask for a transfer and get the hell out.

Best regards and good luck with your new employers.

Totally agree with what your saying there. Gallas has no right to got public with such childish comments, i'm pretty sure the rest of the Arsenal team and fed up finishing 4th also, but you don't see them whinging to the papers...

Gallas = New Le Sulk?

GALLAS IF YOU DONT WANT STAY WITH ARSENAL AND PLAY FOR 4TH PLACE F,,, YOURSELF AND GO TO THE WIGAN AND FIGHT FOR 17TH PLASE. ARSENAL NEED PLAYERS WITH HIGH LOYALITY

What the hell is happening? Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't put up with this sort of childish rot and would've kicked players like Gallas into touch or out of the club a la Stam. I know most might not agree with me on this but i'm not overly impressed with Fabregas' comments thus far either when he keeps telling everyone that my beloved gunners are a mere stepping stone in his career until Wenger leaves. Where has all the loyalty gone? Did the players we've purchased ever have any loyalty (Kolo & Freddy excluded)?? And why is putting on the famous, historic and legendary Red and White just mediocre? What's happened to wanting to play for "Arsenal" and not the manager or the board and being privelaged to be picked by our club? I'm sick to death of these petulant outbursts against my club and even more so that no-one from inside the club is doing anything about it. We're going to have no team spirit at all soon if this isn't stopped pronto and then where will we be. Was Gallaas sent as a mole by Mourinho to bring us down from the inside or something. Not impressed at all...

I couldnt have put it better myself mate, was it only a month or 2 ago that he said that being the father figure felt great. If he had a great season then he might be allowed to talk this way but to arsene only NOT TO THE WORLD and as for the long season he wasnt even playing all season most of the youngsters was and as for talking to the board about signings f--k off mate youve got more chance of becoming the next american president.
We all think youre a great player but weve had too much of this type of s--t over the last couple of years, you should think yourself privileged to be thought upon as being a player who can help the youngsters not demoralize them.
Can ALL the Arsenal players try to get together (LIKE US THE FANS DO EVERY F-----G WEEK even though we sometimes dont agree with what is happening)over a cup of earl grey and sort out all your issues and then just get on with what your being paid to do and thats perform the best you can for the team. When youve got 60000 fans singing your names week in week out who would all give their right arm to be on the pitch playing for ARSENAL the least you can do is show some f-----g dignity.

I'm not sure Williams Gallas knows more than Arsene Weneger,he must be kicked out of the club immediately to set an sample to others.

I couldn't agree more...
I'm sick and tired of hearing about players who are not happy at their clubs.
Surely we can fill our club with Players that want to play for Arsenal...
If players have gripes they should take it to management, if they are not satisfied with the actions of the management they should speak to their agents and put in for a transfer.
After they have left the club they are then free to say what they like, as long as it's the truth...

. “For me he is very big player for us. Firstly because he is a winner and he is ready to die on the football pitch to win...

I agree with Wenger's comments on Gallas - we should take him with his baggage - he ain't out at night with glamour girls.Loosen up fellow Gooners

As an American fan for a good number of years it has been a privelage for me to watch the gunners play the game the way it is supposed to be played. I also agree that Arsene is a genious in terms of preparing his players week in and week out. I DO NOt feel that he has handled this seasons transfer window the right way. As a leader he should find a way to keep players like Cesc and William from making comments that demoralize the spirit of a team. They wouldn't be making these statements if there were not instability within the club and it is up to Arsene to curtail all this BS and go compete for some silverware. I don't agree with Gallas' comments and in no way am defending him but if Arsene won't commit to the squad's future now we need to find someone who will instead of relying on hope that our leader and manager will return. It's time for him to step up and make a stand for Arsenal and the fans NOW! Sign a big name already!!! What's the f______ holdup??

My fellow Gooners, I thank you kindly for your comments. I could not agree more. Please William, I say this as a friend, you can make a difference...but not the way youre going on about it. A team is supposed to bond together and fight. This must be done until victory is achieved, or your butt is thoroughly kicked (my defn of team here isn't only the 11 that turn up on the pitch, but all those that LOVE THE ARSENAL). As such, if you dont want to contribute to what we are trying to achieve, I say this politely, GO ELSEWHERE. A team member not commited is a handicap. Show your commitment on the PITCH.

There is life after Thierry Henry, I respect and appreciate all he did. He is gone, lets get on with it. The future at Arsenal even without the likes of Fab(regas) et al is BRIGHT.

I hope (to some extent believe) Arsene knows what he is doing. I have no doubt of his genius. Geniuses however, sometimes do get it wrong. Still I have faith that this season will be ours. I look forward to the new season, I am confident that Eduardo will be a GREAT signing for Arsenal. And I am willing to put my money where my mouth is with a bet on him being TOP SCORER. Yes, you read right, TOP SCORER. Call me mad, I DON'T CARE.

Come on ARSENAL we have an opportunity to make our critics be ashamed. LET US SEIZE IT.

Regards

Gallas should stay and be a father figure to the rest of the young players.

Thats what I am talking about LOYALTY! These flipping players dont seem to have an ounce of loyalty. Its about the rich pickings and wanting everything now. Wasn't it Gallas who said a few weeks ago (in ref to media specualtion regarding Henry's depature to Barca)that if players wanted to leave then they should so the rest of the team could get on with things. Now look what the prat is doing. He aint even been with us a season and look what he's doing. If it were not for the Russian money down the road what would Gallas have to brag about on his CV. F*** off if you aint happy. And that goes for any other player who thinks he's bigger than the club.
