Van Persie may get the blame but he scores two for Holland (on video)

By 1970’s Gooner

Many believe that the six years younger than Gallas Arsenal player is Robin Van Persie.

This is because the other 25 year old playing against Spurs was Bacari Sagna and he doesn’t seem to be the type that would create havoc in the dressing room at half time nor shout back or insult Gallas during the game.

Who ever that player is it seems that Arsene Wenger has a lot of work to do to and it will not be on the training pitch.

All this does not appear to have affected Robin Van Persie who scored two of Holland’s three goals in the victory over Sweden yesterday.

Wesley Sneijder took a short corner and then exchanged passes with Ryan Babel on the left flank before crossing for Van Persie, who put the Netherlands in front with a header in the 33rd minute.

Van Persie scored his second in the 48th, beating Sweden goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson from 15 meters (yards) after he received a cut back by substitute Rafael van der Vaart.

Kim Kallstrom pulled one back for Sweden in the 50th, scoring from the edge of the box, but Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt headed in Tim de Cler's cross in injury time to wrap up the win.

You can watch all the goals of the game on the video at the top of the page.

15m is 16.4041995 yards not 15.

Bernard - that was hilarious

I'd like to know if Gallas told Arsene about this particular 25 year old. If he did, I'm sure Arsene would've had a sit down with all three and resolved the issue. If not, then try again. If they did resolve it and Gallas still mentions it, that's completely unnecessary and doesn't help anybody -- especially Gallas himself.

I'm not surprised. Van Persie will always be a key player for any team. He's got the talent needed to succed in Europe. Go Gunners!

so what if he scores for Holland, what is more important is he scores for ARSENAL.which obviously he never does. EPL defenders are smart enough to know how to cancel his threat. anyway he always seem to score in meaningless internationals and go missing in big games.
