Arshavin reveals what Wenger said in the Arsenal dressing room after the Fulham game

By Aries

Andrey has been speaking on his site about the disappointing draw after the Fulham game. He was disappointed about dropping points again but believes that goals will come.

Although Fulham played defensively he thought that they were given space when they were counter attacking:

“I think in the last match we gave the opponent a little more space to counter. Therefore, in certain moments of the game opponents were able to have more ball possession” he said.

He believes that goals will come eventually but considers that it may be praying on the Arsenal players heads.

“It seems that we are trying to play, trying to score, but it is not happening. On the other hand, we are confident that soon goals and victories will come”.

We all know how calm and collected Arsene Wenger is with his players especially in the dressing room. But what Arshavin revealed will surprise you.

Although Wenger was very frustrated after the game he said nothing at all in the dressing room afterwards!

“He said nothing in the dressing room but we all understand what was in his mind without any words spoken by Arsene Wenger. If we do not win the next few games, the Champions League will be far away from us” Arshavin said.

Maybe Arsene will probably want to analyse the game before he speaks to the players on specific issues but more importantly he may want to get them ready, physically and mentally for the West Brom game on Tuesday.

A win there and everything changes even his after game talk!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde infiltrate Arsenal’s mind

Well Wenger means well for Arsenal but his wellness is not good enough, yes we can argue that Wenger has done a lot for the club making him "untouchable" but we should always realize this "no man is bigger than the club". With due respect I feel Wenger has been strict in his policies and it is really affecting the club, someone should talk so sense into his head and make him see that it aint working and if his is still disillusioned that it is then we have no choice than to show him that way out. Arsenal is far too big for all this mediocre displays.

5th spot. 3rd goal-less draw. AW silent at half-time?? Now is not the time for subtle coaching techniques. Moreover, the very fact that we played worse, fewer shots on goal, less convincing - indicates it was a bad judgement call. Come on AW, try something else as thats not working

no team is too big for medicroity. Think of Nottingham forest. I believe that as fans we should support our team wholeheartedly and not become prawn sandwich eating fans. I am glad we have wenger in as our manager and should give a positive vibe to all the players.

Couple of things respect your enemy referring to a team 6 points ahead of us at this stage of the season as mediocre is a bit silly considering that they are ahead of us so what are less than mediocre. IMO Arsenal are a better team but we really do need to start controlling games. I agree with Arshavin Fulham had too much room to operate we could have done a lot better in that department. I am sure the goals will come. Wenger IMO made the right decision in not buying anyone during the summer, Denilson has come on leaps and bounds but he is not there yet. Diaby the same. We will probably reassess in summer may well one person to cover both DMF and CD.

I reckon wenger does not know entirely what he has seen, so he does not want to risj saying something stupid or wrong. He waits to check the tape, look at the stats, before he says things to the players the next day.
the more wenger gives them a free rein, the more they relax. I mean relax in a bad way. they dont feel the pressure on them. in the second half the players did not look bothered. Maybe they are just not good enough for typical physical PL football.

It's good that Wenger didn't say anything, he was probably upset and would have said something he'll regret later. But Arshavin did great for Arsenal! He was tired and a bit off form, but he was THE ONLY ARSENAL PLAYER who new what he did, what he was going to do! He never lost the ball, something all other gunners did all game. Arshavin passed the ball well, his cross for van Persie free header was amazing, inbetween two fulham players, perfect! He should have the ball more often, since he distributed it far better than anyone else in red and white.

or maybe he's just too pissed. He worried he might say something he might regret afterwards! = )

ahh for all of you who dont know wenger doesnt say anything at halftime for 10minutes,he says something in the last 5minutes,he wants the players to understand what they have done.its phycology!

I like how illiterate and devoid of critical faculties some of you are. The article clearly states that he said nothing AFTER the game not at half-time.

Oh and we should definitely sack Wenger, there are loads of other coaches of his standard that will save our season. They can come in and manage the finances of our club so well that we can buy loads of proven talent at tens of millions each time and we won't even get into any debt.

I believe the word FUCKTARD comes to mind. I'm fed up with all you whiney bitches of so-called fans. Online Gooner had it right that we need to get behind the team rather than moan moan moan like spoilt children. Man the fuck up and be appreciative that we support such a wonderful team with such a wonderful history, rather than some lower league club with real problems.

This team will come good and if it doesn't Arsenal have the capacity to bounce back. We need to do our bit by acting like proper fans rather than fair weather brats.

Wenger said it wasn't a case of the players not putting in the effort, but i totally disagree. The prrof is in the pudding, how many yellow cards did we pick up? None. Enough said. That could'nt of happened in the days of the untoucables. Football is a contact sport.

Favourites to get through to quarter finals of the Champions league, two home games to get through to the semi finals of the FA cup and when the injured players come back we may well finish fourth. What's everyone moaning about, get behind the team. Those who remember the dark days of the Don Howe era will know what it's like to have someting to complain about.

Well said the man who talks about the F--tards!. Wrong or right who is the best man to fix the solution? Wenger. Thankyou. All the people, ex players, pundits, and fans alike said we needed DM's or CB's in January. Oh yeah our defence has been so leaky hasn't it? Only 7 clean sheets. Second to ManUre in that respect at the moment. Second best keeper too to ManIre at the moment. What have we been lacking? Goals! Yes goals! Who did we buy? Arshaving. Who was our best player for the last two games even though he was knackered? Arshavin! Who bought him instead of DMs and CB's? Wenger. Who knows? Wenger or the F**tards.... I ask you.

"Although Fulham played defensively..."

huh?

What game were you watching? I disagree, and so would most neutral supporters.

I am sorry but the last thing we need is wenger going.

But also he needs to admit that youth is not working we are miles behind man utd and also miles behind the teams that wenger built before!

What i saw against fulham was a midfield disaster, it was actually comical some of the blunders that was going on and in my opinion we will never win a trophey with diaby and denilson playing for arsenal.

They are not good enough not even good enough for lower league teams.

Diaby's pass completion must have been below 15%, Denilson seemed to just run around for 90 minutes without actually making a tackle.

There was not structure to the midfeild they went anywhere without looking where anyone was.

This is the problem... games get won in midfield!

One thing, imagine a world where Bendtner had converted a third of his missed chances. We'd be at least in second place in the Premier league and 3-0 against Roma.

Now there's a thought.

Henry used to win us so many matches from a piece of brilliance. We haven't got that now. Eduardo is the closest and of course he's played one game in one year.

I know its all what if's but it's worth pointing out.

Guys, the issue here is that, let stop moan, i do understand what we fans are going through, but believe me, Arsenal will break through into top four, then, if next season, Wenger refuse to spend on good players, then we should show him the exit door.

For God sake, Wenger should know better than all these shits that is going on around arsenal football club, he caused all these mess. Let him sell SONG, DIABY AND BENDTNER, these players are horrible players. So, let our fans stop booing, let sheer them up, we would be there. Mark my words

Fulham Defensive? They had more possession than Arsenal, and were playing keep-ball around the Arsenal Team to draw them out of defence!

Anonymous said...

But why is he so afraid of giving them a bollocking it works fine for Ferguson ????????

Anonymous said...

Fulham played really well and deserve more credit than this article suggests. A mediocre performance by Arsenal and one that requires reflection on the causes of.

Anonymous said...

Guys, we hit the woodwork twice and Fulham had two goal line clearances... So get off the gloom potion and have a little faith... Damn it, you sound like financial analysts commenting on the recession..... GO GUNNERS!!!!!!

I must say some of the comments here give me heart. I am not the only person that knows that Wenger is the best thing that ever happened to this club and that he must stay to see his work through. Thanks for some excellent comments its a relief to see that there is still healthy support for Wenger. In my opinion Wenger and this team is actually ahead of plan. Major rebuilding after Henry left bringing through kids with a spattering of slightly older but nonetheless excellent talents. its a shame about the injuries to Rosicky, Eduardo, Fabregas, Walcott, etc but despite that, and despite the massive debt of the new stadium and all its distractions, despite Dein walking out, despite Fla-money walking away, Wenger has still got a team to be proud of and its getting better week by week. 4 years without a trophy big fucking deal. Impatient, spoilt fuckwits who have short memories can fuck off and support the Spuds or someone else. Be careful what you wish for because believe me a future without Wenger is bleak, very bleak.

Whats become blatantly obvious this season is that our fans are rubbish. Season ticket holders who don't bother going, a half full stadium from the 40th and 85th minute. No vocal support for 90 minutes but then somehow they find their voices to boo the team off. I don't have a problem with booing if the team deserve it, but only if you have actually given the team some support during the match. There is no 12th man at Emirates. If anything the fans are making things worse. I remain positive in hoping things will get better soon but i'm not hugely confident about it. My worry is that the team looks so stale this season, has Wenger lost some of the players. They looked like a bunch of lazy prima-donnas with no heart or desire to win on saturday. Every player should give everything to wear the shirt, but i don't see that

To be a noble human being is to be enduring a make of openness to the world, an skill to trust unsure things beyond your own manage, that can lead you to be shattered in unequivocally exceptionally circumstances on which you were not to blame. That says something uncommonly weighty about the get of the honest autobiography: that it is based on a conviction in the unpredictable and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a weed than like a prize, something rather feeble, but whose acutely item attraction is inseparable from that fragility.
