Trialist Dimitrov: “Toure and Adebayor the big jokers in the Arsenal dressing room"

By Aries

Nicolay Dimitrov has just finished a week’s trial with Arsenal and on his return to home soil has been speaking to Bulgarian sports newspaper “Gong”.

He believes that he has impressed Arsene Wenger:

“I have talked with Аrsene Wenger personally. The opinion looks positive but everything will be cleared in January. The two clubs must agree between each other, Dimitrov commented.

He also talked about how welcomed he was made to feel by the Arsenal players and the fantastic comradeship that exists at the club.

“Upon entering the dressing room one by one they conversed with me, saluted me, asked me how am I, which team I play for etc. The all helped me feel one of them”.

He was particularly impressed with Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor.

"I have established contact with all players at the club. I liked Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor who are big jokers. The atmosphere in the dressing room is very pleasant and this is one of the reasons for the success of the club”.

"I think I am capable of playing for Arsenal. Of course, I hope my transfer will become a reality in the forthcoming transfer window. I have heard that I have left positive impressions. Arsenal play quick and technical football and that is what I exactly like."

Arsene Wenger is expected to make a decision on Dimitrov in early January. He still has to decide on recent trialist Tresor Mputu who has finished a ten day trial with Arsenal at the end of November.

you never provide any links, but to make up a name of a bugarian newspaper is really taking the piss, gong, does not exist, were on to you.

yeah mate where do u get this i dont know how you know romanian papers

This website "Gong" does seem to exist.

gong.bg

And using a search in cyrillic, I have found an article that looks like an interview from a couple days ago. However I have no ability or will to try and translate it.

http://new.gong.bg/view_article.php?article_id=31565

Arsenal in cyrillic is Арсенал

Dimitrov in cyrillic is Димитров

However, I should add that it does not appear that you bothered to even try to link to this article and have not indicated where your translation is from. That is bad form.

Wow, someone got out of bed the wrong side this morning, perhaps Mr. third-gen? Jealous that the stories here are more interesting than yours???

Anonymous said...

You always seem to do this...slowly losing credibility.

Haha Jeremy, nice dig at Third-Gen, the plastic fan who rambles too much. Granted, I think this blog needs to reevaluate itself.

What else do you want? the guy has given you his source which is a respected bulgarian sports paper. I know it. If you bother to translate it you will find that its all there. Maybe third gen should stop being jealous and accept that there are much better blogs than his around!

Serious witch-hunt going on here!
gong.bg is clearly a bulgarian newspaper, some basic google research will tell you that.
Run the newspaper article through a translator (again, simple googling here). Try:

http://www.translation-guide.com/free_online_translators.php?from=Bulgarian&to=English

Not a great translation obviously, but you can see the bones of the story on this website, especially the Toure/Adebayor being jokers bit.

A lot of unfounded criticism about this blog post ("gong doesn't exist" and "how do you know romanian papers" are possibly the most comical idiotic comments posted here)

well done anon 6.31
I run the google search and came up with the article. at least this site does its research before it publishes anything unlike some other sites that have been witch hunting probably because they are jealous.

I watched the video of this bulgarian guy here and he looks very useful to me.

I will not be visiting the third gen blog again

merry Christmas to you all.
in the first part of the interview it says that it is taken from the official levski site.
first q: first thoughts on your stay at arsenal:
a: very impressed, that world stars and international footballers talked to him and made him feel welcomed

2nd q: is that the best Christmas present? a: yes, the one that he never dreamed of
3rd: tell us more about your stay:
a:when he came to london they put him in a hotel where all young trialists stay. when he came there were a swiss and an argentinian guys, but they left sooner.
the next day they took him to watch chelsea at the emirates. cannot describe the atmosphere, true english, unforgettable. next day first training: at emirates. the guy that is responsible for the trialists rayko yakimov told him that some stay for months on trial, but never step on stadium turf, yet on his first day he trains there.
that was on members day, he says some 5000 people watched
then he met arsene. talked 10 mins with him. he asked him where he is most comfortable playing and all about him. then arsene spoke privately with his manager. very (I think this is correct) reasonable /down to earth man.
on next day two trainings: first with the players that were not involved for blackburn then 2 hour fitness test.
I think he says that the next day he trained with the youth players, and that it was the last day of the youth before they were released on holiday. wenger watched the whole training.
today (the day of the interview) was his last day at arsenal
4th q: how did you like the training sessions with a. wenger?
a: they were not intense, just to keep the form. they play every two days and there is no reason for overload (or something like that). the day before match they do exclusively tactic training. I have to say that the ground is amazing. they have 12 fields and the place is double the size of that.it was arsene wengers project. he is the man responsible for everything. 35 players train with the first team, most of whom under 20.
5th q: with which stars did you make closer contacts?
a: I spoke with all of them but I was more with most of the colored players. big jokers.especially kolo and adebayor. the atmosphere in the dressing room is exceptionally friendly and that is a reason behind their success
6th q: was there a medium interest for you?
a: if there was, I was not aware of it

q: with whom in Bulgaria did you keep in contact: parents, girlfriend, somebody else :)
q: can you make it at arsenal : already covered in blog
q: where will you spend the holidays
a: first visit parants, then deside for new years party

thats it. hope it helps

To be a good charitable being is to be enduring a philanthropic of openness to the far-out, an cleverness to trust undeterminable things beyond your own restrain, that can front you to be shattered in unequivocally exceptional circumstances as which you were not to blame. That says something exceedingly weighty about the condition of the righteous life: that it is based on a corporation in the fitful and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a weed than like a treasure, something rather fragile, but whose acutely special attractiveness is inseparable from that fragility.
